Flat Outta Hell

Today’s shoe lust:
Flats for Fall

Autumn is upon us, and all we can think of is a casual Sunday: wake up, throw on an oversized sweater and flats, and pick up your pumpkin spice latte. (Summer lovers are cringing… sorry, but we’re truly Fall gals.)

Particularly fond of this sassy collection of flat footwear. A creamy white Valentino to honor the end of  warm weather, or a velvety blue slip-on to honor the holidays ahead. Be bold in metallic Tahari cut-outs, or make Tim Burton proud in those striped sensations.

Summer Basics

Emily – Top, Brandy Melville. Skirt, Reformation. Hat, Free People. Booties, Aldo. Bag, Ballista.
Abigail – Top & bag, Brandy Melville. Shorts, LF stores. Sunnies, Tom Ford. Shoes, Converse

A very broad color palette for Emily and I today: white, grey, and black! Sorry we’re not sorry. We’re still reveling in the last of these Summer days, and we’re sticking to cotton basics. Thank you Brandy Melville for keeping us so comfortable. At first I was self-conscious about wearing these high-cut denim shorts on the streets, but then I remembered the Polar Vortex……. that suddenly made it okay for me to be cheeky as hell when I wanna be. Also, Emily’s skirt blew up in the middle of Avenue B, so I didn’t feel as skanky.

Ave B

Emily: Top, Alice & Olivia. Skirt, Reformation. Bag, Danielle Nicole. Sunnies, Dior. Boots, Aldo.
Abigail: Tee, Rag & Bone. Shorts, Nicole Miller. Bag, Rebecca Minkoff. Necklace, Zara. Flats, Steve Madden.
Trying to take full advantage of the semi-warm sunny weather in short-sleeves and no pants. Well, not no pants, but that would have been epic. Strolling our hood assessing the tree bloom status, posing creepily by children’s schools, and taking selfies. It’s getting to be time for an adventure… who wants to  go on a road trip?!

Nail Game

Happy Fall! In honor of the season, we shed our Summer colors (aka grey), and attempt some funky nail art. Thank you OMG Nail Strips for creating this Beetlejuicey striped design. We aren’t great at doing our own nails, probably the worst actually, so luckily these stickers are simple to put on. We know you’re all more adventurous than we are… so check out the other 50 designs here ;)

If Tim Burton were to go scuba diving… okay, possibly the worst possible way to describe it (I guess you had to be there.) Attempt number two – the Kaelen show was packed with black and white stripes, splatter paint, and blazers made of scuba material… hey, you never know how fancy things could get underwater. We were very pleased with the collection.

#UWFW (Underwater Fashion Week. Wow, we get delirious writing these at 2am.)

Best part: You, ultra-androgynous model channeling Wednesday Addams in the striped dress… you are one of us.

Style Defined

We were honored when Katya Moorman, of Style Defined NYC, asked us to be a part of her Style section where she features different influencers around the city. Accurately defining us as “a little rock and a little goth,” she showcased three outfits of ours. First looks above channel a ‘let there be leather’ vibe. Read the rest of the article here:)
