A League of Their Own

Abigail – Tank, Urban Outfitters. Pants, Rebecca Minkoff. Heels, Preen x Aldo.
Emily – Blouse, Equipment. Shorts, Zara. Heels, Dolce Vita. Sunnies, Madewell. Bag, Remi & Emmy.
Ways to dress up distressed denim and a tank: a leather baseball cap, a peekaboo red lace bra, and black stilettos. Oh, and red lips always do the trick. Ways to dress down a blouse: breezy short shorts like Emily’s from Zara. Feeling sporty like A League of Their Own.

Effortless Errands

Abigail – Top, Brandy Melville. Shorts & Clutch, LF Stores. Booties, J Shoes. Sunnies, Ray Ban
Emily – Top, Brandy Melville. Pants, Theory. Sunnies, Madewell. Slides, Jeffrey Campbell. Necklace, ONecklace
When I looked at the calendar and saw that Abigail and I would be running mindless errands all day I reached for the slouchiest outfit I could find. I like to call this look my fashionable non-pajama pajamas! They’re so light and airy, at times, I don’t even think fabric was touching my skin.

As I looked through the photos taken of me yesterday evening I realized that I was posing in front of some badass graffiti that Abigail (purposefully) cut off so that it would say “FU.” Such a sweet, innocent girls she is.
Speaking of, Abigail couldn’t resist the Brandy tee either, so she dawned the white version on our day of errands. Her simple look was perfect for colorful accessories and a colorful backdrop. What do you all think of our new peep toe booties?

Big Deal.

On Emily – Hat, Free People. Tank, Jennifer Hope. Pants, J Brand. Heels, Vince Camuto
As we were walking from event, to event, to cocktails, to event we got stopped by street style photographer, Trussardi Gordon from Sneaker Head Famous. He snapped Abigail in her infamous “Big Deal” tee and Emily in a big deal of a hat. What are you wearing that’s a big f*ckin’ deal?

Los Amigos

On Abigail – Top, H&M. Pants, Rebecca Minkoff. Heels, Preen x Aldo Clutch, Aldo. Sunnies, Bottega Veneta
On Emily – Blazer, Topshop. Crop top, Victoria’s Secret. Pants, Jbrand. Heels, Aldo. Bag, Zac Posen. Necklace, Necromance. Sunnies, Marc by Marc Jacobs

While running to the Post Office in the East Village we stumbled upon the Los Amigos Garden. We had to snap a few pics to add some color to our monochromatic looks!
Best part about the outfits we choose today? We both got ready separately and ended up, as usual, looking quite similar. There must be some scientific thing about friends sharing a brain, because we definitely do!

Day to day for WanderLust is generally a lot of black, but Spring has brought a whole new side of us out… navy blue! (We’ve actually been adding quite a bit of color to our wardrobe, which you can see more of on our Instagram.)
However, to answer your questions of what we wear when we’re trolling the East Village, or out and about running errands? This look is along those lines. We trade in our mega heels for some comfortable flats, giant sunglasses, and cut it down to like 2lbs of metal instead of the usual 30lbs. Here it is- WanderLust Girls comfortable casual stylings! What do you guys think?

Kenneth Cole

As you know, our wardrobe contains a lot of black. However, that doesn’t mean that we can’t stay on top of all the trends, while donning our favorite color. Emily was infatuated with the matchy-matchy looks from the past two seasons, specifically the crop tops with matching short sets. We love how it makes the outfit look so put together, although, you could still use both to pair with different pieces. No look is complete without a major heel, like these black booties that you’ve seen in numerous WanderLust posts!
For the second look pictured, we were, needless to say, Pharrell inspired. So, we hit the hat shop. Ended up scoring this brown and black one. (Finally some color in our closet!) It doesn’t reach the Pharrell hat altitude levels, but it’s up there.
The only issue was… we had these fresh new looks we loved and new styles we were dying to wear, but we were always so late to events, that the clean up crew was just about the only people who saw them. Being on time is not our strong suit. We needed a watch, but it had to be bold. We always gravitate toward large faced watches.
A watch should be an accessory for all fashion girls. The plus side to this accessory is that it’s actually functional. It tells time, woohoo! The color is perfect to pair with all our dark dresses and all black looks. And that face, who could say no to that face ;) The even better part about a large faced watch, Emily can actually read it! This watch was a winner on all parts and made its way to the front of the WanderLust Girls accessory closet.
“Kenneth Cole Watches feature classic designs with a modern edge. Go to www.KennethColeTime.com to find a watch that completes your look.  While you’re there, be sure to enter the #StayOnTime sweepstakes. Weekly winners will receive a watch of their choice. One grand prize winner will receive a $1,000 Kenneth Cole gift card. Enter by June 30, 2014.”

Miller Meeting

(Photos by Michael Popp

Abigail – Top & Skirt, Nicole Miller. Heels, Preen x Aldo. Bag, Zac Posen. Sunnies, Rivet & Sway.
Emily – Top & Skirt, Nicole Miller. Heels, Jeffrey Campbell. Belt, Bebe. Clutch, Ballista. Rings, Maison Martin Margiela. Sunnies, Bottega Veneta.

If you have some fashionable freedom at your job there are ways to take on trends! We swear by Nicole Miller’s matchy-matchy looks. Abigail went with a fun floral print keeping accessories black and chic. Emily stuck to black and white stripes in a crop top and pencil skirt with some all white accessories (our latest obsession!) What’s your morning meeting look?

They can say whatever

(Photos by M.C. O’Connor)

Emily: Leather jacket, Maje. Tank, Jennifer Hope. Pants, Theory. Heels, Dolce Vita. Bag, Zara. Sunnies, Christian Dior.
Abigail: Top & pants, Dawn Han. Clutch, Foley + Corinna. Shoes, Pour La Victoire. Sunnies, Ray Ban.

Matching has been an obsession of ours lately. Abigail went for an entire Dawn Han look in olive green. (One of our favorite designers, who happens to be an East Village dweller as well!) Emily on the other hand wore all black as usual, but kept it light with Theory pants and a Jennifer Hope top. And yes, this is our idea of business casual. Let’s just say when we walk into a meeting we want THIS to be playing.

Now that Spring’s here, be prepared for some more street style, and some of our usual ridiculous themed shoots :)
