A League of Their Own

Abigail – Tank, Urban Outfitters. Pants, Rebecca Minkoff. Heels, Preen x Aldo.
Emily – Blouse, Equipment. Shorts, Zara. Heels, Dolce Vita. Sunnies, Madewell. Bag, Remi & Emmy.
Ways to dress up distressed denim and a tank: a leather baseball cap, a peekaboo red lace bra, and black stilettos. Oh, and red lips always do the trick. Ways to dress down a blouse: breezy short shorts like Emily’s from Zara. Feeling sporty like A League of Their Own.
“Hi, my name’s Mae, and that’s more than a name, that’s an attitude.”

From her cowboy boots
Up to her little black dress
I need a Jameson shot of confidence
Then I’ll let her do the rest

She’s kinda like a scene in a movie
I can hear music when she speaks
She says, “I can’t sleep alone.
I really like The Stones and I hate TV.”

Well I must confess
I’m a little obsessed with Dawson’s Creek
Yeah I know what you think
It’s not what it seems
Can I buy you a drink?

Then she said life goes on
We got all night
If you got rock and roll
You’re gonna be alright

So give me one more drink
And play my favorite song
Put a quarter in the jukebox
And sing along

Los Amigos

On Abigail – Top, H&M. Pants, Rebecca Minkoff. Heels, Preen x Aldo Clutch, Aldo. Sunnies, Bottega Veneta
On Emily – Blazer, Topshop. Crop top, Victoria’s Secret. Pants, Jbrand. Heels, Aldo. Bag, Zac Posen. Necklace, Necromance. Sunnies, Marc by Marc Jacobs

While running to the Post Office in the East Village we stumbled upon the Los Amigos Garden. We had to snap a few pics to add some color to our monochromatic looks!
Best part about the outfits we choose today? We both got ready separately and ended up, as usual, looking quite similar. There must be some scientific thing about friends sharing a brain, because we definitely do!

Abigail: Tee, Rag & Bone. Shorts, Nicole Miller. Bag, Rebecca Minkoff. Necklace, Zara. Flats, Steve Madden.
Trying to take full advantage of the semi-warm sunny weather in short-sleeves and no pants. Well, not no pants, but that would have been epic. Strolling our hood assessing the tree bloom status, posing creepily by children’s schools, and taking selfies. It’s getting to be time for an adventure… who wants to  go on a road trip?!

Holiday Hues

Here are the trends:

1. Pantone’s “Color of the Year”, emerald. WanderLust is craving that maxi-skirt, green velvet, sequins, cool cut-outs, checkered minis, emerald manicures, and lacy lingerie.

2. Metallica. We’re on the hunt for golden pumps, bold trench coats, glittering tops, silver handbags, and mirrored manicures.

3. We’re loving this winter hue, called midnight blue. Needing a navy manicure, blue shadow, cool blue coats, luxe loafers, and possibly even locks to match.

4. Oxblood, burgundy, maroon, what have you… this color is hot for the cold. Lusting after velvets, huge handbags, all red everything, fierce pumps, and a seasonal manicure.

5. Ever-in-style, animal print. Rock it right with a vintage hat, long jacket, matching, rock and roll inspired, fierce accessories, or just be Kate Moss.. always a good option.

Ferrari Tributo

(On Emily – Blouse, Zara. Pants, Raven Denim. Shoes, Pour La Victoire. Purse, Rebecca Minkoff. Sunglasses, Bottega Veneta.)
As Summer seems to be coming to an end, we realized we didn’t really do enough “Summery” stuff. So we’ll be making up for all of it before NYFW commences! Although, it was an early morning wake up call, we weren’t mad about HAVING to rush to be at the Ritz-Carlton by 6am… surrounded by Ferrari’s. Emily even wore all white everything and some Ferrari red shoes to match ;)
Engine’s began to roar and we were off in a sea of Ferrari’s to the Hampton’s for Ferrari Tributo festivities :) Lunch, lemonade, big hats, so much champagne, and the closing day Polo match at the Bridgehampton Polo Club! We ended the day with some cocktails in the city at the Ferrari Club. Not too shabby of a beginning to the end of Summer!
Stay tuned for baseball games, Coney Island, $2 drinks, roller coasters, beaches and Shark boats!

Baby, let’s cruise.

We set sail from the Skyport Marina on Cloud Nine… doesn’t that seem like a big fat lie?! But in fact, those were the actual names of the marina and the boat. The heavens decided to give us the hottest day in August, so we were more than ready to cruise around the city with some delicious Malibu Spiced Rum cocktails.

We’d actually never tried the Spiced Rum before, but now we totally approve. Tastes unreal with ginger ale! You can count on Malibu to concoct the best summery cocktails, and they never forget the umbrella ;)
If you’ve never boated around Manhattan, we highly suggest it. We always forget about the lovely Lady Lib, the view of three cities, the islands, and best of all… the freeing breeze. Can’t wait to plan our next excursion before Summer fades away.
“Spiced Rum’s Finally Seen the Light. Malibu Island Spiced combines Malibu’s signature blend of Caribbean rum and coconut liqueur with light spices, smoked vanilla, cinnamon and a touch of sweetness with Truvia®, zero-calorie sweetener. The result is a lo-cal, big-flavored spiced rum alternative. Find out more at″

Found some old Springtime photos that are preparing us for the cool Fall weather. Summer is wonderful, but we gravitate towards layering, and Autumn (aka Halloween season.) Despite the rain, we made our way over to the Geova Atelier to grab some cute kitten ears and snap some photos. Once we were decked in our feline gear, we went where no cat should ever go, a dog park. However, the dogs seemed unphased by us, so we decided to do what no pedestrian should ever do, stand in the middle of a NYC street with your back to traffic. Not our best idea, but let’s be honest… when are our ideas really the best?
