Holy Chic

Abigail: Tank, Delias. Shorts, Levi’s. Heels, Aldo. Bag, Foley + Corinna. Sunnies, Tom Ford.
Emily: Tank, Jennifer Hope. Skirt, Reformation. Heels, Aldo. Clutch, Clare Vivier. Sunnies, Rivet & Sway.

Being completely nonliteral about “holy chic” today. Just an ironic graphic tee, which I’m kind of in love with, and my trusty pair of Levi cut-offs. Also just generally trying to wear nothing at all while this Summer comes to a close. All limbs, baby. Emily stuck to a material way softer than denim, in what could be called a skirt pajama based solely on comfort. Thank you Emily for adding those adorable lace-ups to our shoe collection.

Cooper’s Rock

Emily – Top, Equipment. Shorts, LF stores. Lipstick, Laura Mercier.
Abigail – Dress, Forever 21. Belt, Vintage. Leather bracelet, Foley + Corinna. Metal bracelet, OK1984.

Life is old there, older than the trees, younger than the mountains, blowing like a breeze.

They can say whatever

(Photos by M.C. O’Connor)

Emily: Leather jacket, Maje. Tank, Jennifer Hope. Pants, Theory. Heels, Dolce Vita. Bag, Zara. Sunnies, Christian Dior.
Abigail: Top & pants, Dawn Han. Clutch, Foley + Corinna. Shoes, Pour La Victoire. Sunnies, Ray Ban.

Matching has been an obsession of ours lately. Abigail went for an entire Dawn Han look in olive green. (One of our favorite designers, who happens to be an East Village dweller as well!) Emily on the other hand wore all black as usual, but kept it light with Theory pants and a Jennifer Hope top. And yes, this is our idea of business casual. Let’s just say when we walk into a meeting we want THIS to be playing.

Now that Spring’s here, be prepared for some more street style, and some of our usual ridiculous themed shoots :)

Day 5 NYFW outfits

(On Emily – Dress, Foley + Corinna. Belt, French Connection. Shoes, Topshop. Bag, Zac Posen.)

(On Abigail – Dress, Moschino. Clutch, Ballista. Shoes, Jeffrey Campbell.)

Swans? Green?? What is happening?! It’s highly possible we were not mentally stable by day five, regardless, we went for it. Switching it up, you know, freak people out by not wearing the usual garb. Bold move WanderLust, bold move.

Day 2 NYFW outfits

(On Abigail – Dress, Foley + Corinna. Vest, Adrienne Landau. Belt, French Connection. Turban, BEXnyc. Shoes, Ritch Erani.)

(On Emily – Jumper, Reformation. Hat, Aldo. Ring, OK1984.)

We were so out of our minds by day two that Emily wore gold accessories, and Abigail even started wearing patterns!! (Be prepared for even more as well!) A WanderLust Girl in florals, who would have thought?
It was such a fun fashion packed day running around the tents at Lincoln Center! It was the perfect day to test out our new Reformation jumper with all it’s wide leg, cut-out glory! Even though it was still technically Summer we were so happy to have our Adrienne Landau fur to cuddle up in as we awaited the shows in the ice cold AC filled tents. We’re not in the desert NYFW… air.. control.. people.
What a convenient ring right?

Day 1 NYFW outfits

(On Abigail – Dress, Foley + Corinna. Shoes, Aldo. Bag, Ballista.)

How quickly NYFW came and left :( Now that we’ve posted all our show coverage, here are our outfits from each day!

We wandered The High Line as we took a mini break in between shows. Emily’s Reformation obsession, as you will continue to see, begins on day one. Abigail’s Foley + Corinna dress was the perfect combination of girly and goth… could not NOT be further from our style. (Double negatives are the best!) Lightweight sheer looks for day one! Stay tuned, more outfits to come!

P.S. Keep an eye out for more Ballista bags… we hear they’re gonna be huge ;)

(Photos from Zimbio)
(On Emily) Fur jacket, Helmut Lang. Pants, Garter + Derringer. Shoes, Ritch Erani. Bag, Foley + Corinna.
(On Abigail) Fur cape, Dawn Han. Long dress, Foley + Corinna. Rings, Cassandra Collections.
The dark furs had to come out for New York Fashion Week, which might as well have been NPFW (North Pole Fashion Week.) Emily wore a stunning ox-blood fur and leather jacket from Helmut Lang, and Abigail draped a black fur Dawn Han cape over her shoulders. This was probably the only day we didn’t freeze. Also rocking grey and black lipstick… guess we were feeling extra gothic that day!

Black and Blue

(Photo from Social Bliss)

(On Abigail) Blue coat, Dana-Maxx. Black pants, Articles of Society. Wedge boots, Ritch Erani. Watch, Glam Rock. Sunnies, Tom Ford. Handbags, Foley + Corinna.
(On Emily) Fur jacket, Adrienne Landau. White denim, Raven Denim. Shoes, Sixty Seven. Sunnies, Bottega Veneta.
I suppose this day we were inspired by a past fav runway song: “16 Shades of Black and Blue.” Bruise-chic? Estonian flag fashion? Anyways. We busted out our favorite Foley + Corinna handbags. Especially obsessed with the oversized clutch. Those ladies know how to fuse fashion with function! Missing Fashion Week… plotting for the Cannes Film Festival next.  ;)

Rooftop travel

(Photos by Vanessa Partridge)

The sun is shining, no clouds, perfect day to get in a bikini, and head to… the roof. That’s right. Heading to the beach? I think not. Hampton’s maybe, but let’s be real serious, after looking at our calendar we won’t be seeing the Hampton’s for quite some time.
So, to feed our need for sun basking and sun kissed bodies, we travel to the roof, and proceed to lather up in Hawaiian Tropic Silk Hydration spf 50. (We don’t skimp, WanderLust vampires like to play it safe when it comes to the sun.) For those who don’t burn, it comes in spf 12 and 30 as well! The scent and feel is amazzzing.
Regardless if we’re sitting on sand, or some sort of sticky tar like material, we always bring the Things We Love: our Anna Sui towel, Marc by Marc Jacobs larger than life sunglasses, a giant Foley + Corinna bag filled with all sorts of things (i.e. magazines, music, notepads, nail polish,) however, we usually just shut our eyes, the city sirens become white noise, and we take in our wonderful pseudo New York City beach.
