A League of Their Own

Abigail – Tank, Urban Outfitters. Pants, Rebecca Minkoff. Heels, Preen x Aldo.
Emily – Blouse, Equipment. Shorts, Zara. Heels, Dolce Vita. Sunnies, Madewell. Bag, Remi & Emmy.
Ways to dress up distressed denim and a tank: a leather baseball cap, a peekaboo red lace bra, and black stilettos. Oh, and red lips always do the trick. Ways to dress down a blouse: breezy short shorts like Emily’s from Zara. Feeling sporty like A League of Their Own.
“Hi, my name’s Mae, and that’s more than a name, that’s an attitude.”

They can say whatever

Emily: Leather jacket, Maje. Tank, Jennifer Hope. Pants, Theory. Heels, Dolce Vita. Bag, Zara. Sunnies, Christian Dior.
Abigail: Top & pants, Dawn Han. Clutch, Foley + Corinna. Shoes, Pour La Victoire. Sunnies, Ray Ban.

Matching has been an obsession of ours lately. Abigail went for an entire Dawn Han look in olive green. (One of our favorite designers, who happens to be an East Village dweller as well!) Emily on the other hand wore all black as usual, but kept it light with Theory pants and a Jennifer Hope top. And yes, this is our idea of business casual. Let’s just say when we walk into a meeting we want THIS to be playing.

Now that Spring’s here, be prepared for some more street style, and some of our usual ridiculous themed shoots :)

Toilet Twins

(Photos by Spencer Kohn)

Tweedle Dee and Tweedle Dum are at it again! This time they dawned checkered chef pants (compliments of our favorite Three of Cups chef,) and stripped sweaters with their leather layers.

Don’t really think Dee and Dum spent too much time hanging in bathrooms… but wherever they went, they went together, monochromatically dressed of course!

Dolce Vita vibes

First partay of the week, and a freaking job well done. Just walking through the entrance at Dolce Vita, we knew it was going to be epic. The monster-sized showroom on Houston was packed to the brim, and people were actually dancing (a rare site.) Loved the tunes, loved the booze, and loved the company. Kudos on the keg as well. (Maybe we should start a drinking blog? …No.) Wish we made it to the photo booth! (Yes, Abigail IS wearing chef pants… like from a restaurant.)

Coming soon…

(Photos by Matt Borowick)
(On Abigail)- Top, Grit n’ Glory. Pants, Guess. Heels, Chuckies. Cross bracelet, BEXnyc. Sunnies, Tom Ford. Bag, Karen Millen.
(On Emily)- Top, Vintage. Pants, Guess. Boots, Dolce Vita. Necklace, Gabriele Frantzen. Sunnies, Marc by Marc Jacobs.
“Are you here for sound check…?” Every single time we walk into a venue. Well, it’s about time right? Stay tuned for more @ARMHERmusic ;)

Beach Bums

(On Emily) American Heart Tee, Brandy Melville. Denim cut-offs, LF stores. Lace-up boots, AllSaints.  Sunnies, Bottega Veneta. White long-sleeve, Alexander Wang.
(On Abigail) White sweater, LF stores. Bikini bottom, Teeki. Zipper boots, Dolce Vita. Jack Daniels tee, Grit N Glory. Aviators, Ray-Ban.

I can’t even pretend to act like everything is normal when I write this post. Seeing the photos of our butts makes me laugh every time, because we tried to video each other biking, and both ended up off-roading into a swamp. If you’re lucky, we’ll post those videos. DISCLOSURE: Any and all casual glamour in our blogposts must be discredited, because it’s highly likely we did something absurd pre or post photo.

Now that I have ranted about how stupid we are, I can say we had an amazing trip. Nothing like combat boots in the sand :) Emily finally busted out her Alexander Wang white long-sleeve, and naturally I wandered the island boasting about my vintage Jack Daniels tee from Grit N Glory.

Needless to say we got no color, and still appear as ghostly vampires that live in a cave. But hey, at least we have photos to prove we went away.

“Adventures in WanderLand”

(Photography by Jakob Layman)
Chapter One: Welcome to the urban Wonderland we like to call “WanderLand.” The enchanted land you may recall is slightly less vivacious here. In WanderLand, you’ll find battered brick walls, graffiti, and rusted steam pipes. There are no magical creatures, Alice dons fishnets, and we all live by one rule… “Stop Snitchin’.”

Closets and Cocktails

(Image from 365 Fashion Rehab)
The lovely ladies of 365 Fashion Rehab, who we met at the IFB conference last September, put up a fun feature of us called Closets & Cocktails. If you’re wondering.. no, it’s not a closet, but our apartment is full of racks. What’s better than a portable closet? Head on over to the interview here!

Skeleton dress: Trash and Vaudeville
