Cape Town Mule

Today’s Drink:
“Cape Town Mule”
(Hangar One vodka, rooibos,
lime, and ginger.)
It seemed fitting to feature a Mule after our “Shoesday” feature on mules. There might not be anything as refreshing as vodka, rooibos, lime and ginger. With a plethora of creative cocktails and drool-worthy dishes, definitely make sure you spend a night at Toro!

We’re introducing a brand new post: #Thirstday! Every Thursday we will feature creative cocktails and concoctions from around NYC that we’ve had the pleasure of experiencing first hand.
Today’s drink:
“Famous Frozen Pink Margarita”

(SideWalk Bar & Restaurant - 94 Avenue A)
These beverages are just as delicious as they are beautiful. Be sure to pop by SideWalk during happy hour to indulge in their signature margs for only $4! Cheers.

I’m pretty sure it ruled… last Friday night.

On Abigail – Shirt, ASOS. Shorts, Zara. Heels, Preen x Aldo
On Emily – Crop top, Olivaceous. Skirt, Reformation. Heels, Aldo. Necklace, Zara

Our WanderFul friends had us over for what they assumed to be a casual dinner. One cocktail in, and Abigail was flashing the Upper East Side. (That’s like a five drink thing for a normal person right?) After some savory sushi we got a little camera happy… just a little though. Here are some outtakes from (just the beginning) of our Friday night.

Memorial Day Lust List

It’s that time of year again, at least for those of you who didn’t jump the gun like us, you can wear all white! We though we’d share a few things we are lusting after for the long weekend.

Oscars Viewing Party

Award season is always exciting for bloggers. Your newsfeed goes haywire with kind and cruel comments and critiques. Your best dressed list must be up before the show starts. And let’s be honest, we only stick through the whole show to watch how amazing Ellen Degeneres is.
This Oscars we are throwing our own viewing party (details above), and included all the essentials: an awesome DJ, truffle popcorn, a ballot contest, and of course a full bar of festivities. If you’re watching from home, we have some fun suggestions:
1) Dress up in a gown. Even if it’s your old prom dress that you saved for no apparent reason. Dress-up is always an interactive MUST.
2) Place bets. Whoever gets the most correct can accept their own makeshift Oscar. Speech, speech!
3) Follow @WanderLustGirls for our Fashion and Beauty favs.
3) Whip up some super special cocktails. I’m looking at all you “vodka soda” drinkers out there. It’s a special event, let’s get creative:

“The Royal Brunch”
• 1 oz. Baileys® Vanilla Cinnamon
• 0.5 oz. Crown Royal® Maple Finished Whisky
• 3 blueberries on cocktail pick
• Mix ingredients in a cocktail shaker with ice. Strain into a shot glass.
“Baileys Irish Cream. Stay Stylish. Drink Responsibly.”

“It was a graveyard smash”

For those of you who missed our All Hallows Affair, that sucks, because it was amazing!! This year we were at Stanton Social for the epic eve. Schwag bags, creepy cocktails, and costume contests hosted by award winning costume designer, Ami Goodheart. This years winner, the ultimately saggy, ultimately obsessed, cat lady. Next year’s will definitely be hard to beat! Thank you all who came out, we love you, goodnight!!

All Hallows Affair

It’s that time of year again when we buy pumpkins way too early and they all cave in and rot a week into October. Or when we wear all our finest Fall looks, and it’s still way too warm. Or when Sir Sudsington (the skeleton hanging in our shower) is somewhat appropriate. However, most importantly it’s that time of year when we throw our annual, best holiday ever invented, soirée!

(Ghost noises)

Tuesday, October 29th at The Stanton Social. 10-11pm free specialty cocktails. Costume and RSVP are required! A $500 giftcard to The Stanton Social will be given out to the best costume (judged by Ami Goodheart of SOTU!) First 100 guest get a special giftbag, so don’t be late ;) Hope to see you all there!

Sauza Style

There are certain things we can’t live without… these things include champagne and margaritas. When we heard about Sauza Sparkling Margaritas, we did in fact salivate a bit. Pre-mixed bubbling margaritas? Didn’t even know it was possible, but it’s WanderLust tested, and WanderLust certainly approved.

We’re thinking about having a lovely ladies night in, and serving this cocktail to our closest amigas. Of course, we’d begin the evening to a toast to the absence of men at our “girls only” soirée. Start off with some classic truth or dare (people who only pick truth are the worst… aren’t they?!) After some epically embarrassing stories, we’d whip out the Ouija board… it’s not WanderLust if there isn’t some element of erie surprise ;)

After another round or two of cocktails you do what every girl our age did when we were youngin’s… pick out which Spice Girl you would be, and (at this point, sloppily) attempt to learn their choreographed dances. Thanks YouTube. “There’s so much more room for activities!” – Step Brother. After, we’d all settle in for the classic Hocus Pocus.

We’re sure you’re thinking that no, it’s not Halloween yet… but it’s really an everyday kind of holiday here at the WanderLust HQ.

Sauza® Sparkling Margarita is our brand new, ready-to-serve sparkling margarita. It’s available in three delicious flavors: Original Lime, Mango Peach and Wild Berry. Now you can add a little more sparkle to your ladies’ night. Connect with us here:
