A very broad color palette for Emily and I today: white, grey, and black! Sorry we’re not sorry. We’re still reveling in the last of these Summer days, and we’re sticking to cotton basics. Thank you Brandy Melville for keeping us so comfortable. At first I was self-conscious about wearing these high-cut denim shorts on the streets, but then I remembered the Polar Vortex……. that suddenly made it okay for me to be cheeky as hell when I wanna be. Also, Emily’s skirt blew up in the middle of Avenue B, so I didn’t feel as skanky.
Last night we celebrated the new Bailey’s Vanilla Cinnamon in the best of ways… taking shots, and getting our hair done. Dream Dry made our dreams come true with the perfect fishtail and waterfall braids! If you’re hair incompetent like us, definitely stop by one of their salons.
Now to the real business… the booze. First of all, they had a build your own shot bar. Insane. We definitely went a little overboard with the sprinkles and gold flakes. Needless to say, the Vanilla Cinnamon is otherworldly, and not in that too sweet desserty kind of way. We even had Bailey’s mixed with tequila… highly recommended.
Some of our favorite details from the Nicole Miller runway show: very berry lips, layered pearls, popped collars, lovely leather, and the unforgettable hair-dos. Messy milk-braids galore. Excellent and intricate. NM always knows how to concoct a vibrant collection.
Joy Cioci was all about the details! Lovely leather, navy rosettes, and fluffy furs. Call it our comfy side, but we kinda fell in lust with the lace sweat-suit. That’s one way to be cozy and stylish at the same time. Absolutely in love with all the finger gloves we’ve seen this season (esp those light grey ones), and can’t get enough of the dainty braids that have flourished this Fashion Week!
