Being completely nonliteral about “holy chic” today. Just an ironic graphic tee, which I’m kind of in love with, and my trusty pair of Levi cut-offs. Also just generally trying to wear nothing at all while this Summer comes to a close. All limbs, baby. Emily stuck to a material way softer than denim, in what could be called a skirt pajama based solely on comfort. Thank you Emily for adding those adorable lace-ups to our shoe collection.
It seemed fitting to feature a Mule after our “Shoesday” feature on mules. There might not be anything as refreshing as vodka, rooibos, lime and ginger. With a plethora of creative cocktails and drool-worthy dishes, definitely make sure you spend a night at Toro!
I’m so happy I decided to wear all this leather today, it’s not like the Summer heat is back…… misery. Although, i’m going to look back on this post in February and hate myself for complaining about the warm weather.
I just got these new croc leather slides while I was up in Maine for the weekend at the Aldo outlet store, amongst a few other things I cannot wait to share with you all. My obsession with black croc will never die (friends and family take note when thinking of any and all presents for me!)
If you didn’t notice our @WanderLustGirls stickers came in so I headed straight to the roof to vandalize!! I feel 10% cooler than I did when I woke up. I’ll leave you with this today, after taking a bunch of photos on the roof of this look we realized there was no card in the camera. Good.
Autumn is upon us, and all we can think of is a casual Sunday: wake up, throw on an oversized sweater and flats, and pick up your pumpkin spice latte. (Summer lovers are cringing… sorry, but we’re truly Fall gals.)
Particularly fond of this sassy collection of flat footwear. A creamy white Valentino to honor the end of warm weather, or a velvety blue slip-on to honor the holidays ahead. Be bold in metallic Tahari cut-outs, or make Tim Burton proud in those striped sensations.
Ways to dress up distressed denim and a tank: a leather baseball cap, a peekaboo red lace bra, and black stilettos. Oh, and red lips always do the trick. Ways to dress down a blouse: breezy short shorts like Emily’s from Zara. Feeling sporty like A League of Their Own.
“Hi, my name’s Mae, and that’s more than a name, that’s an attitude.”
When I looked at the calendar and saw that Abigail and I would be running mindless errands all day I reached for the slouchiest outfit I could find. I like to call this look my fashionable non-pajama pajamas! They’re so light and airy, at times, I don’t even think fabric was touching my skin.
As I looked through the photos taken of me yesterday evening I realized that I was posing in front of some badass graffiti that Abigail (purposefully) cut off so that it would say “FU.” Such a sweet, innocent girls she is.
Speaking of, Abigail couldn’t resist the Brandy tee either, so she dawned the white version on our day of errands. Her simple look was perfect for colorful accessories and a colorful backdrop. What do you all think of our new peep toe booties?
Is it possible to feel healthier after having a cocktail? If not, The Wayland‘s Garden Variety Margarita comes pretty damn close. This delicious drink had a lot of bold flavor, and the smoked sea salt paired with it perfectly. Head over to the East Village to taste it yourself!
Tid bits from today = polka-dots, and chambray. It may still be 80 degrees, but we’re pushing for long sleeve weather. Emily went for vintage and shredded denim, while I stuck to a more modern clean-cut vibe. Found these rockin’ equestrian style boots at the bottom of Emily’s closet… the gems we can unearth in there.
We’re introducing another brand new post: #Shoesday! Every Tuesday we will feature what we, like so many women, are most passionate about… shoes. From shoe stalking on the streets of NYC, to shoe news, we’ll be sure to give you your weekly footwear fix.
A very broad color palette for Emily and I today: white, grey, and black! Sorry we’re not sorry. We’re still reveling in the last of these Summer days, and we’re sticking to cotton basics. Thank you Brandy Melville for keeping us so comfortable. At first I was self-conscious about wearing these high-cut denim shorts on the streets, but then I remembered the Polar Vortex……. that suddenly made it okay for me to be cheeky as hell when I wanna be. Also, Emily’s skirt blew up in the middle of Avenue B, so I didn’t feel as skanky.
