Los Amigos

On Abigail – Top, H&M. Pants, Rebecca Minkoff. Heels, Preen x Aldo Clutch, Aldo. Sunnies, Bottega Veneta
On Emily – Blazer, Topshop. Crop top, Victoria’s Secret. Pants, Jbrand. Heels, Aldo. Bag, Zac Posen. Necklace, Necromance. Sunnies, Marc by Marc Jacobs

While running to the Post Office in the East Village we stumbled upon the Los Amigos Garden. We had to snap a few pics to add some color to our monochromatic looks!
Best part about the outfits we choose today? We both got ready separately and ended up, as usual, looking quite similar. There must be some scientific thing about friends sharing a brain, because we definitely do!

Day to day for WanderLust is generally a lot of black, but Spring has brought a whole new side of us out… navy blue! (We’ve actually been adding quite a bit of color to our wardrobe, which you can see more of on our Instagram.)
However, to answer your questions of what we wear when we’re trolling the East Village, or out and about running errands? This look is along those lines. We trade in our mega heels for some comfortable flats, giant sunglasses, and cut it down to like 2lbs of metal instead of the usual 30lbs. Here it is- WanderLust Girls comfortable casual stylings! What do you guys think?

Memorial Day Lust List

It’s that time of year again, at least for those of you who didn’t jump the gun like us, you can wear all white! We though we’d share a few things we are lusting after for the long weekend.

Kenneth Cole

As you know, our wardrobe contains a lot of black. However, that doesn’t mean that we can’t stay on top of all the trends, while donning our favorite color. Emily was infatuated with the matchy-matchy looks from the past two seasons, specifically the crop tops with matching short sets. We love how it makes the outfit look so put together, although, you could still use both to pair with different pieces. No look is complete without a major heel, like these black booties that you’ve seen in numerous WanderLust posts!
For the second look pictured, we were, needless to say, Pharrell inspired. So, we hit the hat shop. Ended up scoring this brown and black one. (Finally some color in our closet!) It doesn’t reach the Pharrell hat altitude levels, but it’s up there.
The only issue was… we had these fresh new looks we loved and new styles we were dying to wear, but we were always so late to events, that the clean up crew was just about the only people who saw them. Being on time is not our strong suit. We needed a watch, but it had to be bold. We always gravitate toward large faced watches.
A watch should be an accessory for all fashion girls. The plus side to this accessory is that it’s actually functional. It tells time, woohoo! The color is perfect to pair with all our dark dresses and all black looks. And that face, who could say no to that face ;) The even better part about a large faced watch, Emily can actually read it! This watch was a winner on all parts and made its way to the front of the WanderLust Girls accessory closet.
“Kenneth Cole Watches feature classic designs with a modern edge. Go to to find a watch that completes your look.  While you’re there, be sure to enter the #StayOnTime sweepstakes. Weekly winners will receive a watch of their choice. One grand prize winner will receive a $1,000 Kenneth Cole gift card. Enter by June 30, 2014.”

PBR and puppies

On Abigail – Top, Brandy Melville. Shorts, LF stores. Shoes, Ritch Erani. Sunnies, Tom Ford.
On Emily – Jacket, Playboy. Tank, Jennifer Hope. Skirt, Reformation. Shoes, Sam Edelman. Sunnies, Bottega Veneta.

A typical WanderLust day? We start off with a very large cup of coffee, and run through the city from showroom, to photoshoot, to party!
Okay, so maybe that’s not everyday… More often than not we steal our neighbors dog, the beautiful and glamourous, Shelby, and head to the roof. Topping off the strenuous day of dog napping with a few PBRs and puppy play :)

Flop Shop!

If you’re anything like us, you realize the day before a beach trip that you only own combat boots, pony-hair flats, and gladiator sandals. We’ve been pretty ill-equipt for our vacations in the past, so this season we’re scouring the web for fashion’s finest FLOPS! From $25.00 to $250.00, featured above are our top six picks. Personally adore the skinny snakeskin sandal (and Nicole Richie in general), as well as the black thong Calvin’s with a fierce sole.

Emily: Top, Alice & Olivia. Skirt, Reformation. Bag, Danielle Nicole. Sunnies, Dior. Boots, Aldo.
Abigail: Tee, Rag & Bone. Shorts, Nicole Miller. Bag, Rebecca Minkoff. Necklace, Zara. Flats, Steve Madden.
Trying to take full advantage of the semi-warm sunny weather in short-sleeves and no pants. Well, not no pants, but that would have been epic. Strolling our hood assessing the tree bloom status, posing creepily by children’s schools, and taking selfies. It’s getting to be time for an adventure… who wants to  go on a road trip?!

Miller Meeting

Abigail – Top & Skirt, Nicole Miller. Heels, Preen x Aldo. Bag, Zac Posen. Sunnies, Rivet & Sway.
Emily – Top & Skirt, Nicole Miller. Heels, Jeffrey Campbell. Belt, Bebe. Clutch, Ballista. Rings, Maison Martin Margiela. Sunnies, Bottega Veneta.

If you have some fashionable freedom at your job there are ways to take on trends! We swear by Nicole Miller’s matchy-matchy looks. Abigail went with a fun floral print keeping accessories black and chic. Emily stuck to black and white stripes in a crop top and pencil skirt with some all white accessories (our latest obsession!) What’s your morning meeting look?

Stud of the Month

Meet May’s Stud of the Month: Duncan Quinn, New York’s bespoke suit designer.

If tomorrow you could go on a trip somewhere in the world you’ve never been, where would you go?

The Future.

Who is the coolest client you’ve ever had?

They’re pretty much all cool in their own way. So it makes it very tough to pick.

What’s your favorite beverage? What would you never drink?

The right one at the right time? Never say never.

When did the obsession with cars begin and which is your favorite?

By age 11 my bedroom walls were effectively covered by supercars. I’ve never driven one, but given the choice right now I’d take a Lamborghini Miura SV. It’s tough as cars are like wine, girls and books. You have to be in the right mood to fully appreciate each one. Otherwise it’s just an experience that didn’t excel.

What is your favorite restaurant in the city?

Lavagna. The nutty owner and I get on well. Mostly fueled by a love of fast motorcycles and good wine. Well, that and the pasta being as addictive as crack.

What name do you like better Mia or Nina?

Depends on how interesting she is. And what she looks like if I’m honest.
What is your favorite fairytale?

My own.

What is the best place you’ve ever taken someone on a date?

Probably a table for two on a small island in the middle of the Zambezi River… But again the company makes for the best date, not the place.

What did the first suit you ever made for yourself look like?

Very much like one of my father’s Savile Row ones. Just a butchered version thereof. Haha.

Do you have a favorite color?

Yes. But what it depends upon all the other colors it is with.

What is one men’s trend you cannot stand?

Trends. I prefer style.

How long does it take you to get dressed in the morning?

That very much depends upon what happened the night before.

Blondes or Brunettes (trick question?)

One of each?

Coffee or tea?

Coffee in Italy. Tea in England.

Tea or strumpets?

Strumpets for sure.

Harry Potter or Drako Malfoy?

The integrity of Harry, with the looks of Drako.

Motorcycle or Porsche?

Depends which one. In both cases.

Pizza or Pasta?

Whiskey or wine?

Wine. Unless it’s time for whisky.
