There are certain things we can’t live without… these things include champagne and margaritas. When we heard about Sauza Sparkling Margaritas, we did in fact salivate a bit. Pre-mixed bubbling margaritas? Didn’t even know it was possible, but it’s WanderLust tested, and WanderLust certainly approved.
We’re thinking about having a lovely ladies night in, and serving this cocktail to our closest amigas. Of course, we’d begin the evening to a toast to the absence of men at our “girls only” soirée. Start off with some classic truth or dare (people who only pick truth are the worst… aren’t they?!) After some epically embarrassing stories, we’d whip out the Ouija board… it’s not WanderLust if there isn’t some element of erie surprise
After another round or two of cocktails you do what every girl our age did when we were youngin’s… pick out which Spice Girl you would be, and (at this point, sloppily) attempt to learn their choreographed dances. Thanks YouTube. “There’s so much more room for activities!” – Step Brother. After, we’d all settle in for the classic Hocus Pocus.
We’re sure you’re thinking that no, it’s not Halloween yet… but it’s really an everyday kind of holiday here at the WanderLust HQ.
As you can probably tell Emily doesn’t tan… so pool time gets limited due to severe burning, which turns into a beautiful.. pale. Abigail on the other hand can get super tan, but makes the ultimate friendship sacrifice and helps load on the SPF 80.
Although, we were without bikinis we were happy to eat a delicious lunch, wear our new Beetlejuice pants, and lounge by the pool before making our way back to Denver. Between the pool, the hotel, and Aspen in general our “Holy Chic” shirt seemed quite fitting.
Already miss Hotel Jerome, and the seasonal cotton balls that make for the perfect Summer snow
The newly remodeled Hotel Jerome became somewhat of a Playground for us during our stay. Climbing in windows, lounging in tubs, and jumping around in our giant bed, just a few of our daily activities
We don’t even need to begin to explain the decor… but, “hi taxidermy!!!” Oh, and we want moose chairs. …AND that view?! Just gorgeous mountains… we didn’t hate it.
We want to say a special thank you to Hotel Jerome for the amazing accommodations, and incredible service! We can’t wait to stay with you next time we’re in Aspen!!
It was so surreal to watch one of our favorite bands (who may possibly be the best headbangers,) with the most stunning backdrop of snowcapped mountains, and wild horses just chillin’ to our left. Aspen you did us well, and our hats are off to Snowmass Mammoth Festival! We can’t wait to come back next year join in on more Aspen antics
… and yes, we creeped out the majority of festival goers… perhaps the Lucipurr dress was a little agressive.
P.S. Stay tuned for more of our mountain adventures!
After touching down in Denver we decided to venture out and explore the terrain. So, in conclusion we found, what we hope were, abandoned rail road tracks, an antique Porsche, giant ponies, ATVs, Blue our new Husky friend, Big Gulps (huh?) and what we’ll assume are the doors from one of our favorite films, Monsters Inc.
All in all a fun filled day of Denver adventures! Stay tuned for what else we stumble upon
