Cinco de Mayo #LustList

This weekend we’ll be praying for sunshine and good deals on tequila, because it’s Cinco de Mayo, folks! (Yes, we’re bringing back “folks.”) We put together a #LustList of all the essentials we’ll be needing this weekend… everything but the sombrero we’ll buy from the dollar store.

Sandals, Senso. Sunscreen, Hawaiian Tropic. Blood orange polish, OPI. Midi rings, Etsy. White cut-off, J. Brand. Floppy hat, Rachel Zoe. Scalloped bikini, Nasty Gal. Margarita, well duh. White tank, T by Alexander Wang. Sea salt mist, Bang Style. Handbag, Marc by Marc Jacobs.

1884 Collection’s Roman Goddess Style-Off!

(Photos by Abigail Breslin)
(Jewelry, 1884 Collection. Dress, Foley + Corinna. Gladiator sandals, Jeffrey Campbell. Lipstick, Make Up Forever.)

When you think Roman Goddess, you probably picture white robes, gold leafy headpieces, and gladiator sandals. Well… we have the sandals, of course, but we would like to think that even back in Roman times we would be rocking our signature WanderLust attire, all black. So here you have it… WanderLust in Italy, 1884.

Things we’d also like to think about: How many more swords would we have? What our giant black horses would be named? What our closet would look like filled with a bunch of robes?

Help us win the 1884 Collection Roman Goddess Style-Off! Share our look onto your blog, share on Facebook, or on Twitter, Pinterest or Instagram! For participating, I will make your own wish come true! Submit a wish on 1884 Collection’s website, and they will toss a coin into Rome’s legendary Trevi Fountain along with your wish!! Etienne Aigner

We’ve been to this press preview before, and we’ll keep going until the end of time. They didn’t have to woo us with their Pinterest-worthy berry tarts, or their homemade juices and champagne, to convince us this collection is stunning, but that’s not something we complain about.  ;)

Etienne Aigner tops itself season after season, amping up their ready-to-wear, and progressively perfecting their classic handbags. A harmonious collection of jewel-tones was split into two racks. One was stacked with punchy purples and camel-tones, and the other lined with luscious forrest greens and navys. Immediately fell in lust with that leather top… excellent belt usage as well. Touché.

The belt brings us to our next crush, EA’s dalmatian-print stones. This print is coming in strong for 2013, and we approve. Aigner gets our award for true “laid-back luxury.”

There are three colors that we live by: black, white, and burgundy. These are also the three prominent colors in KM Collective, which made it simple to fall in lust. Kim Mesches, designer of KM Collective, is extremely talented, and happens to be one of our best friends. It’s nearly impossible not to go over and play dress-up, even in the snow.

We’re in love with his artistic detailing, and above all, that high-drama collar. Certainly attention-getting looks that will be just the attention you were looking for. If you’re searching for the middle ground between basic floor-length dress and gown, Mesches has got the answer for you. Check out the full collection HERE.

Longest Road

More obsessions from our trip to the X’Tige PR showroom. Meet Handkerchief’s newest genius design. We like to call the print “The Longest Road,” which is also a superb song by Morgan Page. True wanderlust.

“Giddy up and gold dust, all the cars turn to rust
You’ve got no means for wanderlust
Pastel trailer park, stars so bright to hide the dark
All is quiet in the yard”

Maserati for Autism Speaks

(On Abigail) Jacket, Tulle. Scarf, Love Quotes. Pants, Tripp NYC. Boots, Ritch Erani. Bag, LF stores.
(On Emily) Head-tie, American Apparel. Coat, Adrienne Landau. Shirt, Maj. Pants, Garter+Derringer. Boots, Sixty Seven.

Had a great time at the Maserati for Autism Speaks event last week. We were joyous to get out and support the cause, and “lit it up blue” on World Autism Awareness Day by wearing a blue Love Quotes scarf, blue LF stores clutch, and blue Maj shirt. The Love Quotes scarf is also a great charitable cause, donating 10% of net profits to international children’s charities.

Just Cavalli For Her

We’re TOTALLY lusting this new fragrance by Just Cavalli! The new For Her Perfume is super sexy, with a flirty feminine air to it. For those of you who know us, you know our obsession with perfume, and how we have fragrances for just about every different type of occasion. This one will definitely be making the roster… we’re thinking “date night,” or “I want a date tonight”. Most likely the latter ;)

Okay, enough about just the scent. That video… holy hotness. Georgia May Jagger, a stunner as always, makes the disheveled architecture (one of our favorite buildings in New York City by the way) look so glam! We may have a Georgia May crush… okay, we do.
Crushes aside, Just Cavalli for her is a sexy and provocative new fragrance by Cavalli. Just fun. Just more. Just free. Just now. Just Cavalli. Discover the Just Cavalli universe with this video:

Serge Strosberg Exhibition

(Photos by Sunny Norton)
(On Abigail) Hat, Aldo. Paisley coat, vintage. Faux collar, H&M. Sheer dress, Miilla.
(On Emily) Headband, American Apparel. Jacket, Playboy Fashion. Dress, Katie x Katie Gallagher. Shoes, Sixty Seven.
Popped by The MAve Hotel for a glimpse of Serge Strosberg’s Exhibition. After doing so much work with Lifestyle Trimco, sexy-mannequin-lady-art sounded like our cup of tea! We sipped some champeezy (sick of saying bubbly), admired some artwork, and enjoyed an issue of Twelv Mag. So happy to be out of our Winter coats… more variety to come.  :)
