summer lusting

A perfect night = best friends in concert, and a best friend’s birthday. We partied hard at the Deadbeat Darling show at the Bowery Ballroom, and proceeded to celebrate on the rooftop at Hotel Chantelle for Micah Jesse’s birthday! And what’s a fabulous birthday without Baked by Melissa ;) Getting sick of the heat, but we’re already reminiscing on all of our Summer nights.



Fashion Camp NYC

We were thrilled to be asked to speak for the second year at Fashion Camp NYC. These little fashionistas come to NYC to learn the ins and outs of the industry, and we spoke about our blog and how it evolved into a company. Of course we brought some of our wardrobe, and handed it out to the campers to style their very own blog post. We were in love with all of the outfits, and they nailed the posing! Thanks girls (and boys), you were incredible.  :)

Strolled a few blocks down to the Lower East Side to check out the Victor Osbourne Boutique. Of course not only did we fall in lust with all of his hats, we also met Victor and couldn’t get over his great style (which made it into our last Shoe Stalker!) Attempting to try on hats with a bun on top of my head without looking bald was a task… hence the amusing posing-with-hat photo. Will be going back for a couple hats we can’t keep our minds off of.



Bushwick Walkabout Festival

Gloomy rain clouds were the last thing on everyone’s minds at the Bushwick Walkabout Festival, as great band after great band hit the stage. Of course, nobody hated the free beer from Sixpoint Brewery, cocktails from 42 Below and Société Perrier, or the Mercy drinks to rid you of tomorrows hangover (which tasted a lot like Flintstone vitamins…)

A few snaps of our favorite Fourth of July gear, courtesy of Vanilla Star Jeans. Packed these adorable denim creations for our long weekend in Boston, and of course the worlds clunkiest boots that do not bode well for traveling. Either way, it felt good to be covered in red, white, and blue, and surrounded by GREEN!

Alpina Cabana Party

Clearly, we had way too much fun at the Alpina Cabana Party at The Maritime Hotel :) Walking in just as spokesman, Billy Baldwin arrived made for epically awkward jokes, as we all three tried to stuff ourselves through the doorway at the same time. 
We took photos in The Bosco photobooth, sipped on champagne, took more photos, and caught up with old friends. It was a perfect little escape from the NYC streets!
